Flight Day - what can I say...

You could feel the excitement of the team and families as we gathered in the PCA lobby to start our journey to Bogota.  Thanks to Dave Amendt for driving us into the airport at such an early hour!    Our excitement quickly turned into sadness, as we discovered that a necessary document for one of our team members was missing.  After spending over an hour trying everything possible, we had to leave sweet Grace behind.

Long lines at US customs and a very distressing temporarily misplaced passport in a mens's room - we all made it on to our flight during the last boarding call bound for Houston.   Hopes that we had left the drama of the day behind were short lived as we sat for an extra hour on the Bogota flight while the flight attendants scurried back and forth down the aisles, looking for something.  The announcement came over the intercom that we all had to de-plane with all of our belongings in order to be re-boarded as there was an extra person on the aircraft that they didn't seem to have a record of.... yes...a stow away.

We finally arrived in Bogota at midnight - an hour and a half later than scheduled.  We were so thankful to see Denise there - and also thankful for our lovely Guest house and a comfortable bed to sleep, albeit short.

In spite of the rough start, we know that God was with us through out the whole ordeal.  Grace will be joining us tonight so our team will be complete.

Thank you for praying for us.  We KNOW that God is going to complete what He has begun in us!
