Wednesday... Happy Birthday Eric!

Hey friends and family abroad!  This is Eric

Wow, what a trip it's been so far!! I have been so blessed to be able to come to Colombia once again and wow it has been incredible. I truly feel so impacted and thankful to be here once again. I can't wait to tell each of you about this trip in person, for now I'll just share about today.

Today was amazing. We started the day bright and early by going to Hogar de Paz, Home of Peace, a
daycare for children. I was able to reconnect with some kids from last year, and it was incredible being able to share the gospel with the help of sticker books! Hogar de Paz is such an amazing organization, and Bogota is so blessed to have them being a light for Christ. Throughout the three campuses we have been able to visit, Hogar de Paz has taught me so much and I have been really thankful for every experience I have had so far this trip. Serving snack, sharing the gospel, and talking about random things (like the Milwaukee Bucks) made for an amazing experience. Their leader, Carin, truly loves these kids. She is such an amazing lady. Her selflessness, love, care, and faithfulness to these kids is so evident immediately, and her desire to see these kids grow really impacted me today.

After Hogar de Paz, we visited Buena Semilla at Barrio Egipto. It truly is a light in the darkness. Despite all of the brokenness in the community, this foundation works selflessly to serve the community and initiate change within the area. Their leader, Elias, encouraged all of us today, he works so hard to spread the gospel in one of the most challenging areas of Bogota, and his work and desire for change is such a testament to Christ's work. Between making bracelets with them, playing games on the soccer field, or even just telling the kids a Bible story, Christ was moving today. He is so good and He always has been. Christ is moving in Bogota, and He is using so many dedicated and selfless members of the kingdom to accomplish this work. Bogota is blessed to have such talented and faithful individuals working for change.

Overall, this was an amazing day. God is working throughout this trip, both in our lives and all of those we are in contact with. God is so good, I am so grateful for His work this week, and I am so grateful for the work He has been doing and will continue to be doing. God bless you all!! Dios te Bendiga!!
